Mommy's Little Model

The entire reason I took up photography as a hobby was so that I could take pictures of my own boys that I was proud of. I got fed up after a few bad experiences at JC Penny and bought my first DSLR right before Eli was born. I didn't actually start to learn about photography and how to actually use my camera correctly til I'd had my camera about 6 months or so though. I've gone through periods of growth as well as break periods. Ephram's pregnancy was a rest period! So as I'm slowly getting back to myself, hopefully I will take more and more pictures of our family in both snapshots and portraits.

I tried to take Ephram's newborn pictures last Wednesday and let's just say that the first attempt was rather messy. At least Mommy was prepared with a chucks pad under my feet as I held my bare little boy! My second attempt later that afternoon didn't go well either as Ephram was fussy and not sleepy enough to pose. Thursday came and my third attempt was a success! He let me try out my very beginner newborn photography skills on him and was such a little trooper! I know it will probably take me forever to edit the pics but here is one I have finished up.

Boy, oh boy, a blog!

Our blog is back! Check in here for updates and pictures of the boys!

I wanted to make the title something along the lines of my favorite quote..."Boys are God's way of telling you your house is too clean!" I couldn't make it work though, so, Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy it is!

We enjoyed a beautiful Spring day today. Asher and Eli played outside with Daddy while I hung out inside during Ephram's nap. We grilled hamburgers and I prepared a tray of picnic foods for Ash, Eli and Matt to enjoy in the skyfort for dinner! We are loving the change in the weather.

Today was also Ephram's first trip to the grocery store and it went very well. He spent the entire trip in his Moby Wrap. I hadn't used a Moby Wrap before and I have to say I really like it. Ephram was very snug and happy in it. I don't think he even knew he was away from home since he was completely out the entire trip.
